What you should know about state foster care homes.

What you should know about state foster care homes.

Few days ago, I read something and saw a picture that made me feel very sad, then angry, then I felt powerless but then I said: 'No ! I CAN do something about it ' . So I'm posting about it today. That is the least I can do.

“When a parents messes up, you call CPS. Who do you call when CPS messes up?” asks Christina Harrison to Houston’s Fox 26.
“There’s nothing you can do.”
I am sure these words have been said many times by many children's parents or relatives.

First I'm going to tell you the shocking story of little Rachel Harrison, then I'll share some shocking facts that you might not know about this.

Christina and David's parental rights were suspended after she was tested positive for cocaine. Something that they regret. So CPS (child protective services) took Rachel, their little 3 year old daughter. When they got see Rachel again, they knew something was wrong.
"She was never abused or neglected in any way except by CPS," Debbie Flores, Rachel's grandmother, told Fox News.
"They actually testified in the first hearing that Rachel was never neglected, never abused and she was a happy healthy child," Christina Harrison adds.
But that was going to change for little Rachel after the doctor wrote a prescription for her.
"There's paperwork saying she was screaming for mommy and daddy," says her mother.
"And the easiest way to handle her acting up was to medicate her," her father adds.
Six months after continuously asking CPS about Rachel's condition, it was finally revealed in a court hearing that their small daughter was being prescribed heavy medication that the US Food and Drug Administration says shouldn’t be given to a child under the age of 10.
"3-years-old, given psychotropic drugs, there's no reason for it none at all," Her father said.
Rachel, at only three years old, was hooked on Risperdal, a drug used to treat Schizophrenia and Bi-Polar disorder !!!
"You're completely powerless," Rachel's mother said. You're powerless against these people, they hold all the cards and do whatever they want," said Rachel's father.
After the judge started questioning CPS about the little girl's declining condition, CPS gave up trying to terminate the couple's parental right's and gave them their daughter back.

According to the Texas Medical Board, Dr. Osagie prescribed Clonidine to Rachel in excess of the dosing guidelines, while simultaneously increasing her dose of Risperdal, then failed to properly monitor the little girl.
According to the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, Dr. Osagie has treated 755 children in CPS foster care and continues to do so.
This is just one story out of many others just like it. Do not think this is an isolated case. There are hundreds of kids that are being treated like Rachel as you will see, but just look at her picture and tell me if that doesn't break your heart.

before cps care   after cps care

Now, like I mentioned before, this is not an isolated case. Let me tell you briefly what these poor kids are exposed to. These are facts, not rumors ok ? (Even though I wish they were). I'll give you all the links.

According to this article from America Family Rights, child protective agencies nationwide are forcibly removing more children from their homes even when the agencies' own investigations establish that the children have not been abused or neglected, according to reports submitted by state agencies to the National Center on Child Abuse and Neglect (NCCAN) during 1998. Once in foster care, state agencies further reported, children were much more likely to be maltreated than they are in their own homes.

Over medication of foster kids
First you should know that foster kids are being over medicated. They give them many drugs, some kids more than 10 pills a day ! This is outrageous ! They find any excuse to drug these poor kids. And when they get worse (because of the overdoses) they give them even more stuff. :(

Sexual and physical abuse of foster children
America Family Rights also says that children are eleven times more likely to be sexually abused in state care than they are in their own homes, according to NCCAN. While 59 out of 100,000 children in the general population are alleged to be physically abused, 160 -- more than twice as much -- were physically abused in the foster care population.

Drug experiments on foster children
I know this will sound unbelievable but click the links and check it out for yourself. They do drug experiments on foster kids.
When BBC News asked Dr David Rasnick, visiting scholar at the University of Berkeley, for his opinion on some of the experiments.
He said: "We're talking about serious, serious side-effects. These children are going to be absolutely miserable. They're going to have cramps, diarrhea and their joints are going to swell up. They're going to roll around the ground and you can't touch them."
MSNBC reported that the government has concluded at least some AIDS drug experiments involving foster children.
Child welfare league of America comments to the EPA regarding protections against foster children taking part in pesticide testing.

Death of children in foster care

And as a result of these atrocities many children died.  :(
MSNBC News reported that some foster children died during studies, but state or city agencies said they could find no records that any deaths were directly caused by experimental treatments.
At least 10 children died from a variety of causes, including four from blood poisoning, and researchers said they were unable to determine a safe, useful dosage. They said the deaths didn’t appear to be “directly attributable” to dapsone but nonetheless were “disturbing.”
“An unexpected finding in our study was that overall mortality while receiving the study drug was significantly higher in the daily dapsone group. This finding remains unexplained,” the researchers concluded.
Fox New reported 7-month-old found dead in foster home. (link 2)

There is a lot more unbelievable information that you can look up. Like the unbelievable documentary by BBC called "guinea pig kids".

So, now that you know about all this evil being done to little kids. I know some of you might be asking, 'why does God allow all this ? Why doesn't He do something about it ? Well, let me give you one answer to each question in a few words.

Why does He allow all this evil ?
Well, you have to remember that God made us with the ability to choose. To choose between good or wrong. He didn't make us like 'robots', with the only option to be loyal to Him alone. Where would love be in that situation ? Can you imagine having a spouse loving you because she/he was 'programmed' to do so ? Would you have a happy life listening to your spouse saying : ' I love you' many times a day, every day of your life, not out of love, but just because she/he has no other option ? Well, it could probably work the fist couple of days or weeks, may be a few months. But you will get tire of it eventually. Eventually you would say: 'stop saying that, you don't really mean it'. Right ? Or would you rather have a spouse that even though I'm ugly, even though I get irritating and annoying, she still chooses to love me ? Then you would treasure every time you hear that ' I love you'. Right ? Well that's exactly what God wants from us. He wants us to choose to obey Him, to choose to serve Him, to choose to be loyal to Him, out of love. The Bible says in Joshua 24:15 But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD." (New Living Translation (©2007))
But sadly not every spouse is loyal. There is someone else who wants our service, our loyalty, our minds. And that's satan. And according to the Bible, there are more on his side than God's.
Matthew 7 : 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Mainly because man is easily deceived. Because that's what satan uses to have us on his side, deceit, lies, threats, worldly pleasures. That's why God "allows" this evil things. He respects our freedom of choice. You will never see God taking the cigarettes out of the hands of a smoker, even though it will hurt him and everyone around him.

But don't fool yourself, let me assure you that all this evil makes God suffer more than you and me or anyone else. You ask: how ? Well, do you know somebody that is very loving ? Someone who is always helping and caring about everyone else ? That person who you always say : 'wow, that person is really loving and caring'. Do you know anybody like that ? Well that person is like that because he/she 'has' so much love inside. But guess what, God doesn't 'have' love. He "IS" love so, His nature is 100% love ! He is more loving than anyone you could imagine. So therefore He suffers every time evil is done, specially to little kids. That's why Jesus said about little children in Matthew 18:6 “And everyone who commits an offense against one of these little ones who believe in me, it were profitable for him that a donkey's millstone would be hung around his neck and he be sunk in the depths of the sea.” (Aramaic Bible in Plain English (©2010))
Psalm 146:9 also says : Lord Jehovah also keeps the poor; he nourishes the orphans and the widows and he drowns the way of the evil.(Aramaic Bible in Plain English (©2010))
And these verses also tells us how to treat orphans, Exodus 22:21-24 , Deuteronomy 10:18 , Deuteronomy 27:19

So then here is where the second question comes in place. Why doesn't he do something about it ?
Let me tell you that you are asking that question too late. :) because He has done something about it. He didn't leave us to our misery after our first fathers sinned. He didn't want this world to suffer forever (or at least until humanity self destroys). Seeing that man chose sin, and knowing that he deserved death, because the Bible clearly says in Romans 6:23 "The payment for sin is death, but the gift that God freely gives is everlasting life found in Christ Jesus our Lord." (GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995))
God himself, the creator of every particle in this vast universe, out of His incomprehensible love, chose to become a fragile human being ! He became man, because  man sinned, and  man had to pay the price of sin. Romans 15:19 says : "For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous."
But He wasn't just any man, He was God ! Can you believe that ? He did do something about it !!! He died, for you and me so we could have eternal life.  Now we have a blessed hope and even though many choose to follow evil, we can lift up our heads and look at Jesus and say : 'thank you Jesus, because you didn't abandoned me, you gave me the chance to choose YOU out of love, and now can live an eternal life with you ! Instead of eternal death which is what I deserve'. And that thought changes everything, it gives us peace, and makes us hate sin because we understand how awful it is. It makes us love others and share God's love with our neighbor. That's why if you still want something done about evil, God wants to use you and me to fight it. And He will give you everything you need to do so, and will let you know how much you can do.
Will you choose Jesus today ? Will you accept His sacrifice for your redemption ? Will you claim victory over evil in your life ? May the Holy Spirit speak to your heart today, and lead you to a victorious life in Christ, strengthen by the almighty God.
Have a great week  :)
