Happy Reformation day !

Happy Reformation day !
October 31st

Since you now know how evil halloween is. You might be thinking: “what can I do instead of going trick-or-treating and participating in satanic rituals” ?
Well, let me recommend something. 31st of October is not only known as halloween, but also as “reformation day”. Yes ! It's the day Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses on the church's door.
In case you are not very familiar with this here is a brief compilation of different sites to summarize it.

On October 31, 1517, the priest and scholar Martin Luther approaches the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, and nails a piece of paper to it containing the 95 revolutionary opinions that would begin the Protestant Reformation.
In his theses, Luther condemned the excesses and corruption of the Roman Catholic Church, especially the papal practice of asking payment—called "indulgences"—for the forgiveness of sins. At the time, a Dominican priest named Johann Tetzel, commissioned by the Archbishop of Mainz and Pope Leo X, was in the midst of a major fundraising campaign in Germany to finance the renovation of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Though Prince Frederick III the Wise had banned the sale of indulgences in Wittenberg, many church members traveled to purchase them. When they returned, they showed the pardons they had bought to Luther, claiming they no longer had to repent for their sins.
Luther's frustration with this practice led him to write the 95 Theses, which were quickly snapped up, translated from Latin into German and distributed widely. A copy made its way to Rome, and efforts began to convince Luther to change his tune. He refused to keep silent, however, and in 1521 Pope Leo X formally excommunicated Luther from the Catholic Church. That same year, Luther again refused to recant his writings before the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V of Germany, who issued the famous Edict of Worms declaring Luther an outlaw and a heretic and giving permission for anyone to kill him without consequence. Protected by Prince Frederick, Luther began working on a German translation of the Bible, a task that took 10 years to complete.

Luther apparently at first expected the pope to agree with his position, since it was based on Scripture; but in 1520, the Pope issued a decree condemning Luther's views. Luther publicly burned the papal decree. With that act, he also burned his bridges behind him.

On April 17, 1521 Luther appeared before the Diet of Worms in Germany. Refusing again to recant, Luther concluded his testimony with the defiant statement: “Here I stand. God help me. I can do no other.”

Martin Luther is one of the most influential figures in Western history. His writings were responsible for fractionalizing the Catholic Church and sparking the Protestant Reformation. His central teachings, that the Bible is the central source of religious authority and that salvation is reached through faith and not deeds, shaped the core of Protestantism.

Here are the 95 theses.

Wow, I just can admire Martin Luther and many other “father of the reformation”. These people were undoubtedly guided by the Holy Spirit. Thanks to them we can now read and study our own bibles.
Can you imagine how they felt when they realized that MOST of that they knew was a lie ?
And what it took to expose this ?
Let us remember these heroes and “celebrate” Reformation Day, instead of evil halloween.
Stay home the 31st and watch a movie about it or have a little “reformation day party”, read a book about it, or watch an amazing series called “rekindling the reformation”, which is great.

Here are some of my recommendations

Martin Luther, the movie (new version)  Excellent !

Rekindling the reformation (presentation). After you watch this, you will never be the same.

There is an older version of the Martin Luther movie you can look for.

This is the door where Luther nailed the theses. For more pictures click here.

May the Lord Yahweh bless you all, and guide you through his Holy Spirit, to not participate in evil rituals, but instead, learn more about the roots of our believes and the heroes that God used to bring his people out of the darkness. To know more about the truth of the gospel and the price many paid to defend it and the faith of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Have a great Reformation Day !!!
