Arrest that Christian !

Arrest that Christian !

In this article I will share with you something that could affect anyone of us. As we get closer to the end of times, this kind of news will increase. And soon are going to be "normal". When we see people who break "the laws" and get arrested, we often think they deserve it. If they get arrested is because they have done something wrong right ? I am not talking about innocent people who get arrested by mistake, I am talking about people who really brake a state law. I mean, if someone breaks a law, they need to pay the consequences, wouldn't you think ?
Now, what if the law itself is ridiculous, unfair, unconstitutional ? Could the state have such laws ? Could the state be arresting or giving people fines for something that would not hurt anyone or anything? Ok, let's be more specific and clear. Can we get arrested or fined for professing our beliefs?

If you have read some of earlier articles, you might remember what NDAA is all about, or the DHS definition of a "right wing extremist" or " domestic terrorist". But this is something a little (but not much) different.

Arresting Christians is becoming something common these days. Did you know ? Oh yes, how dare you express you Christian beliefs in public ? How dare you commit the terrible act of having bible studies in your home ? (Of course I am being sarcastic, I do both of them) . Christians are being arrested and fined for these things.
Here are some of these cases. Starting with the most recent one which happened last week.

Father of six faces 60 days behind bars for hosting Bible study in his OWN home.

A Phoenix man has been sentenced to two months in jail, three years' probation and more than $12,000 in fines for using his private home to host weekly Bible studies in violation of the city's building codes.
The father of six has argued that there is no difference between what he is doing and what millions of other people do when they host weekly poker games for friends or invite people over to watch Monday Night Football. But when someone says to us we are not allowed to gather because of religious purposes - that is when you have discrimination,' Salman told 3TV.

NEW YORK-Police arrested 43 New York City pastors and lay people who were protesting the city's ban on church use of public schools for worship services.

After singing songs and cheering speeches, protesters walked out in orderly groups of five to eight to kneel in front of barricades and pray. Police warned them to leave and then made arrests on charges of disorderly conduct.

O.C. pastor arrested praying in Washington, D.C.

Pastor Wiley Drake and the Rev. Pat Mahoney decided to pray at noon Friday outside the White House for Chinese activist Chen Guangcheng, who had been taken to a hospital after leaving the U.S. Embassy, news reports state.
Drake said he, Mahoney and three Christian women were kneeling next to the fence to pray when security officials told them to move along because they couldn't pray there. After repeated requests, Drake, Mahoney, Gwyn Epeppard, 56, Tina Whittington, 37, and Sarah Maher, 23, were arrested.

A Chicago man is fighting charges of disorderly conduct for simply standing on a public sidewalk and praying.

Joseph Holland, a 25-year-old graduate student at Northwestern University, says he was standing still praying the rosary outside a Planned Parenthood facility in downtown Chicago July 3 when police arrested him for violating the city's new "Bubble Zone" ordinance. The law, passed in October, states that a person cannot approach within 8 feet of another person without consent "for the purpose of passing a leaflet or handbill to, displaying a sign to, or engaging in oral protest, education or counseling" within 50 feet from any health care facility.
"I tried to talk to the officer first and explain that the building doesn't have an 8-foot bubble and that I didn't talk to anyone," Holland said. "I said, 'I'm praying, I'm praying to God, not talking to people' and basically he said me praying was a type of approaching people and violated the bubble zone ordinance.".
(Bubble zone ??? Ridiculous !!! )

PRO-LIFERS ARRESTED FOR PRAYING

Six people peacefully protested the Obama administration's mandate requiring employers to provide contraceptives, sterilization, and abortion-producing drugs by kneeling in prayer in front of the White House, and they quickly were arrested and whisked away by U.S. Park police.
"Occupy Wall Street protesters have been occupying federal property for months, but when we kneel in prayer, the police are called in and we are arrested," said Father Wilde, one of the protesters.

Taking Liberties: Arrested for reading the Bible?

"You can preach on your own property," an officer from the California Highway Patrol tells Mackey as he leads him away in handcuffs. "Folks, this is what the United States is coming to," Mackey says to the crowd, who were standing outside waiting for the DMV to open. "You can talk about anything you want, but you can't talk about the Bible."
Mackey is a reverend with Calvary Chapel Hemet, a conservative Christian church that practices an "evangelical ministry," requiring public testimonials and Scripture readings.
Mackey sees it in biblical terms.
"The devil is holding everyone captive to do his will," he said as he was led away. "Repent, and trust in Jesus Christ. Judgment Day is coming, folks."

A Dane County pastor faces up to six years in prison for teaching his brethren the use of the rod according to the Bible's teachings.

Caminiti argued that he had religious liberty and that his teachings were based on what the Bible teaches regarding child discipline.

Christian preacher arrested for saying homosexuality is a sin.

A Christian street preacher was arrested and locked in a cell for telling a passer-by that homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of God.
Dale McAlpine was charged with causing "harassment, alarm or distress" after a homosexual police community support officer (PCSO) overheard him reciting a number of "sins" referred to in the Bible, including blasphemy, drunkenness and same sex relationships.
Christian campaigners have expressed alarm that the Public Order Act, introduced in 1986 to tackle violent rioters and football hooligans, is being used to curb religious free speech.

California Couple Fined $300 for Holding Home Bible Studies.

A southern California family has been fined for holding regular Bible studies at their home because it violates a city zoning code, The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.
Brad Dacus, an attorney for the Public Justice Institute, said the Fromms live in a semi-rural area and have not caused any parking problems for neighbors.
The city "needed some kind of rational basis to justify their rigid intolerance towards this family for having a Bible study in their home," Dacus told the Times.

Couple: County Trying To Stop Home Bible Studies
A local pastor and his wife claim they were interrogated by a San Diego County official, who then threatened them with escalating fines if they continued to hold Bible studies in their home, 10News reported.
Attorney Dean Broyles of The Western Center For Law & Policy was shocked with what happened to the pastor and his wife.Broyles said, "The county asked, 'Do you have a regular meeting in your home?' She said, 'Yes.' 'Do you say amen?' 'Yes.' 'Do you pray?' 'Yes.' 'Do you say praise the Lord?' 'Yes.'"
Broyles said a few days later the couple received a written warning that listed "unlawful use of land" and told them to "stop religious assembly or apply for a major use permit" -- a process that could cost tens of thousands of dollars.
(Oh no, did you notice ? They said: "amen" and "praise the Lord" oh wow, that is really unlawful !)

I could give more cases, but I think that is enough. Enough to realize and see how the devil is trying to silence us as much as he can. Can you believe it ? Getting arrested for doing what every Christian had done since Christianity was founded ? Unless of course, we are talking about the times when Christians were persecuted. So, what does that tell you about the times WE are living in ?
People can invite friends and family over and throw a party, or gather to watch some sport. They can even drink and smoke and not get in trouble. But if you invite friends over to study the bible, you might get arrested.
People can peacefully (or sometimes not so peacefully) protest against a company or institution, etc, or even the government, and not get in trouble, but if you dare to pray in public you might get arrested. People can talk and hand out flyers about pretty much anything on the streets. Many times, not appropriate for the ears or eyes of children. But if you do the same about the bible and its teachings, you can be arrested.
But, what about kids ? Parents can blow that deadly smoke on their children's faces when they smoke. Or they can feed them all that poisonous junk food all day making them sick and sometimes killing them. Or may be some parents are so irresponsible, that they leave their kids in front of the one-eyed monster (tv), all day, letting their minds rot with so much garbage. But they will never, go to jail for that. Ah, but if you preach about biblical discipline, or even say anything about spanking, guess what could happened to you ? Yes, you got it, you can go to jail.

It is unbelievable how this generation is trying to accept and tolerate everything and everybody. Trying to bring peace to everyone no matter what you do or what you want to be. And that sounds very nice right ? So nice that people want to live their lives so freely that they ultimately forget God and ignore His teachings. That is why the bible says in
1 Thessalonians 5:3 While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
That is a very wise verse, you can't have a perfect world with sinful beings. When you try to please one at the same time you will be displeasing the other. And when you tolerate one, you would have to not tolerate the one who opposes him. And that is exactly what is happening right now, they want "peace and safety" for everyone. Everyone except Christians, as you can see. And of course they would do that, because they don't want God in their lives. In fact, if you are not christian you can really believe there is a God, since the theory of "evil-ution" erased God from the face of the earth.
That's why the Holy Bible says in
Psalm 10:4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
But if they don't believe in God is because they don't want to. Because they know down in the bottom of their hearts and minds, that there is a God. But fighting against their own conscience, they choose to ignore Him. The Bible says it very clearly in
Romans 1:19-22 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. 21Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. (New Living Translation)
But these are not bad news, we should be happy because Jesus said these things would happen at the end of the times, our Master said in
Matthew 24: 9-10 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,

So let's not be intimidated by the devil's plans. In fact, we should start to practice to stand up for our believes, and learn to proclaim the word of God to every nation, tribe, language, and people. Just like Revelations 14: 6-12 tells us. And if you encounter opposition, so be it. We will have to endure times even harder in the near future.
My hope is that you and I will be encouraged and choose to serve the Lord no matter what.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
( 2 Corinthians 13:14)                 Amen !
